Briggs Road Baptist Church
“Building Bridges of Hope through Caring Ministries”
A Word of welcome from the church family at
Briggs Road Baptist Church
As a congregation, we welcome you. We want you to experience the warmth of a family. To help you feel at home and to become better acquainted with our church.
Briggs Road Baptist Church History
Our Church has faithfully provided our members and our community a place to worship, serve, and grow in God's grace for over 50 years. Organized in 1963 under the name Hilltop Baptist Church, the congregation moved from the last of 3 temporary facilities into the current church building in 1972. Later an ambitious building project took place which produced new and increased Educational Space new fellowship space, and a new Sanctuary. That addition was dedicated in 1992. In 2003 a 15,000 square foot addition was completed increasing the facility to a total of 40,000 square feet. The new addition allowed us to bring all the children's classes together in one area. This space include a full-service institutional kitchen, and a Family Life Center. The space also added a new narthex, 6 larger class rooms, and more parking spaces.
Who We Are
At Briggs Road Baptist Church, we want to know Jesus and experience His transforming power in our lives. Then, we're seeking to be like Him by serving people and meeting need in our community.
Ministry with a Kingdom Vision
We have a missionary heart, an evangelistic zeal, and a servant's desire with a vision of the Kingdom. “The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor. He hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, to preach the acceptable year of the Lord.” (Luke 4:18, 19) Our ministry is caring for others in Christ's name and His love. At Briggs Road, there is a place for each member to minister.

Connect - Fellowship
We want to connect people to Christ and each other in fellowship. We value a spiritual journey taken in step with others. Fellowship
Helping you feel like you belong. More than anything else, we are committed to helping people assimilate into the life of the Briggs Road Baptist Church family. Our commitment is helping the people of Briggs Road Baptist Church connect with one another in meaningful ways.
True biblical fellowship is about more than just friendship. It's about people being committed to each others emotional, spiritual, and physical well being. It is our hope that you'll discover Briggs Road Baptist Church to be a place to belong. Helping you feel like you belong. It's what we're all about!
Two examples are - Friendship Day & New Member Fellowship. These are special times between Sunday School and Worship to help us get to know our new members and them to know us. We have these events quarterly.
Grow Through Christian Education
We want to provide opportunities for people to grow spiritually. To “teach them all things” is discipleship.
We believe that spiritual growth begins with commitment. Building on the commitment to be a disciple of Christ, within the fellowship of Christian relationships, members learn the habits of a disciple.
By God's grace these habits become life transforming, producing a life of moral excellence. In the words of Peter: "A life of moral excellence leads to knowing God better. Knowing God leads to self-control. Self-control leads to patient endurance, and patient endurance leads to godliness. Godliness leads to love for other Christians, and finally you will grow to have genuine love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more you will become productive and useful in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ." 2 Pet. 1:5-8. This is the full intent of the Purpose of Spiritual Maturity.
We have Men, Women, and Co-Ed classes for adults. We also have College and Career, as well as, Young Adult classes.

Our Sunday School meets each Sunday Morning at 9:45 until 10:45.
Our greatest wish and prayer is that you will become mature Christians. 2 Cor. 13:9

Study to show yourself approved to God, a workman that needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 2 Timothy 2:1
Share Jesus calls us not only to come to Him but to go for Him (Matt. 28:19-20). This commission was given to every follower of Jesus. If you are part of God’s family, this is your commission. God’s love compels us to reach beyond our own needs and wants to others. Unlike secular humanitarians, we share a new life only possible through Christ. In showing love, we become living representatives of God for a world that desperately needs what only He can provide.
Our goal is to help grow the purpose of missions deeply in the heart of all our members. We want people to be empowered to share Christ effectively. To “go and make disciples” is our mission.
We want to equip people to serve. To “love your neighbor as yourself” is ministry. Jesus said, “… I, the Son of Man, came here not to be served but to serve others …” (Matthew 20:28). He is our example and has called each one of us as Christians to serve in ministry.
